How to create a site based on the export of another site

The first thing to do in order to create a site based on another site is export the site we want to use to initialize the new one. First read How to export a site, to then continue with the following.

When we create a site in the SaaS installation of GXportal, and also when we create a site in a local installation with the option “The Web administrator will select the template", we will get the screen below when we enter the backend for the first time:

From here, and following the link shown on screen, we access the following screen where we must select the site’s export file with which we want to initialize the new one.

The export file should not exceed 30 MB in size. Once selected, press Accept to initiate the site’s import process. Upon concluding, the window will close up and we may start working in the new site.
